Lauhala weaving is a traditional art Hawaiians and Polynesians practiced for many years. A beautiful plant harvested for many of its parts, especially its leaves or leaf(Lau). The Lauhala leaves are favored for its pliability, strength, and life-span. Here at Lovellysea, we use 100% Kaua’i Lauhala harvested by my Tūtū or I. Everything is hand cleaned, softened, and stripped for the weaving process. There are no artificial dies or chemicals added! Mahalo for allowing me to share such a special art with you all!
